PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
04/97 - Present. Manugistics, Inc., Manager, Business Consulting.
Manugistics has spent more than a decade developing and implementing supply chain management solutions to help companies -- manufacturers, retailers and transportation companies worldwide -- improve their bottom line. As a Business Consulting manager at Manugistics, I am responsable for managing multiple software implementation projects.
10/95 - 03/97. Visibility, Inc., Senior Technical Consultant (North America) .
Visibility is a premier provider of ERP solutions to the engineered product manufacturer. The Visibility product is the largest application ever built on Cognos Inc.'s PowerHouse fourth-generation language. As a senior member of the technical services team, I worked with Visibility customers, helping them deploy leading egde technology. I worked with Visibility customers on implementing Oracle RDBMS, Intranet/Internet, Remote Corporate Access, UNIX Systems Management, evolving technology trends, data migration, Legacy/Client Server interfaces, and more.
08/94 - 10/95. Compuware Corp., Technical Sales Representative (North America) .
At Compuware, I was a part of the EcoTOOLS product division as a Technical Sales Representative. EcoTOOLS provides an integrated set of client/server systems management tools aimed at performance and problem management. EcoTOOLS allows a customer to manage their UNIX, network, and RDBMS (Oracle, Sybase) environment. I was responsible for the preparation and execution of pre-sales events, including standard and client specific demos, address technical issues that arise during the sales process (i.e. RDBMS, network, and UNIX performance issues), answering RFI and RFP documents, follow up on product training and service opportunities as well as general marketing efforts. I also provided installation and training of EcoTOOLS to our customers.
11/93 - 07/94. The ASK Group/MK Group, Senior Consultant (North America).
As a senior member of the systems team, I was involved in all technical aspects related to the implementation of the client/server, MRPII package MANMAN/X. While working with customers like Motorola, I provided training and consulting in areas like MANMAN/X system management, UNIX system management, client/server technologies, system integration/optimization and MANMAN/X 3GL/4GL/Customization toolset. I also spent fifteen days in Brazil where I visited six large customer sites to solve major systems problems. These problems included application issues, RDBMS (Oracle/Ingres) tuning, UNIX kernel tuning, hardware sizing, and network integration issues. I was also responsible for teaching a regularly scheduled, week long, Customizer/Developer class and MANMAN/X System Management class at several education centers. 
5/92 - 11/93. SABRE Decision Technologies (SDT), Consultant. 
While at SDT, I worked on projects to support enterprise wide, client/server airline decision support systems. These projects included long-term software/hardware support, continued consulting services, and on going software and systems development. The following is a brief discussion of my involvement in these projects: Systems consulting, application testing, application training, Visual Basic applications to track vital information on external customers (Contact names & phone numbers, schedules for support personnel that are on 24hr call, etc.), and more. I was also responsible for designing the SDT Help Desk's UNIX/PC environment. This included automating the UNIX environment to make the support role easy for staff with little or no UNIX background. 
2/89 - 4/92. Industrial Screw Conveyors Inc. (ISCI), Director of Technology.
Management and hands on responsibility for administration, enhancement, implementation, recommendation, selection, and user training of technology related hardware and software. Accomplishments included complete implementation of a UNIX based MRPII system. This implementation included responsibility for data conversion, technical and user documentation, end user training, modifications and enhancements to the C/4GL/SQL Informix code. The system included the purchase and installation of a DECstation 5000/200 UNIX server with 32 terminals connected to an Emulex terminal server. This project also included the integration of various Macintosh IIx and Windows based PC's into the UNIX network using NFS and TCP/IP. While at ISCI, I developed and implemented a client/sever, compound document management system using tools like Informix SQL/ESQL-C/4GL, FrameMaker, and UNIX CAD system.

9/85 - 1/89. Burleson Computer Center, Manager of Technical Sales & Support.
Burleson Computers, at the time of my employment, was a premier supplier of high end UNIX workstations and servers based on the Intel 386 processor. As Sales Manager, I was responsible for the preparation and execution of pre-sales events, including demos, follow-up on technical issues; follow-up on product training and services opportunities as well as general marketing efforts.
